With all the turmoil in the world today, this question has come to me so much that I will be using this type of question in my up and coming book, that is, what if…? What if everything that you have learned in the church isn’t right? Has what you have been taught, have the same results as the Apostle did? They where Jesus disciples as you are to be. Did they fail to make disciples as they were called to do? Matthew 28:18 And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. 19 Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen. What if there really is more to this, would you want to know?
What if you were called but you chose not too follow Jesus? What if the cares of this world or the deceitfulness of riches has gotten in the way for you to be chosen? Matthew 22:14 14 “For many are called, but few are chosen.” John 6:65 And He said, “Therefore I have said to you that no one can come to Me unless it has been granted to him by My Father.” 66 From that time many of HIS DISCIPLES went back and walked with Him no more. 67 Then Jesus said to the twelve, “Do you also want to go away?” 68 But Simon Peter answered Him, “Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life. 69 Also we have come to believe and know that You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.” 70 Jesus answered them, “Did I not choose you, the twelve, and one of you is a devil?” 71 He spoke of Judas Iscariot, the son of Simon, for it was he who would betray Him, being one of the twelve. Are you willing to pay the price that it takes to follow Jesus? Even Simon Peter had left his wife to follow Jesus. Job had everything taken away from him but he would not turn away from God. What if it costs you everything, are you will to lose everything to follow Jesus?
The Parable of the Pearl of Great Price
Matthew 13:45 “Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant seeking beautiful pearls, 46 who, when he had found one pearl of great price, went and sold all that he had and bought it.
What if the Gospel really is the Gospel of Peace? What if Jesus really did come to make peace between man and God? What if God’s loving Kindness is shown through this Peace? What if Jesus really was the Prince of Peace and now the King of Peace? What if the Kingdom of God is Righteousness, Peace and Joy in the Holy Spirit? What if you can be One with Jesus as a husband and wife are one?
I can go on and on and on but I won’t. In the up and coming book, I will break this into four sections and go through this all in more detail. I will leave you with this question. What if God is really that Good?
