How many of you have prepared yourself for the wedding? What wedding? The wedding of the King with His bride. The wedding ceremony has been happening for centuries here on earth, but the wedding banquet is what we are waiting for. The wedding ceremony is baptism. The bride has cleansed herself of sins by the washing of water, and baptism. She has put on her wedding garment, Christ, and made herself ready by doing righteous acts. These righteous acts make her grow in the spirit as the righteous shall live by faith.
1 John 3:7 Little children, let no one deceive you. He who practices righteousness is righteous, just as He is righteous. 8 He who sins is of the devil, for the devil has sinned from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil. 9 Whoever has been born of God does not sin, for His seed remains in him; and he cannot sin, because he has been born of God.
Revelation 19:7 Let us be glad and rejoice and give Him glory, for the marriage of the Lamb has come, and His wife has made herself ready.” 8 And to her it was granted to be arrayed in fine linen, clean and bright, for the fine linen is the righteous acts of the saints.
Jesus sealed this wedding covenant with His blood. Jesus went through great turmoil before heading to the cross. Most believe that Jesus was praying to Father for Him not to go to the cross, but that is far from the truth. It was a joy for Jesus to go to the cross. He knew His reward. The turmoil that Jesus was going through is the first time He was going to be separated from His Father. He never experienced that. That’s why it is written, “For this reason, a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh?” Jesus died for us so we can be one with Him in the spirit. Jesus was a Jew, but He was also a Galilean. All of His disciples were also Galilean. The wedding ceremony is a Galilean wedding. This video is a short clip about this Galilean wedding.
1 Corinthians 6:17 But he who is joined to the Lord is one spirit with Him.
I hope that all of you are ready this is preparing for the coming of the King. I hope He doesn’t find you asleep to all of this. I hope you awaken to righteousness so you can do righteous acts. Be blessed, my friends.
1 Corinthians 15:34 Awake to righteousness, and do not sin; for some do not have the knowledge of God. I speak this to your shame.
