Many Christians have not tasted this life in Christ, it’s amazing! It doesn’t matter what happens to you, if you stay in the spirit, the pressures of this life don’t affect you. Once you have found the spirit and live from there, you understand the peace that is beyond all understanding. Many people won’t understand why you don’t react the way you do. When you live from the spirit, you are living from Christ. This is how you will know them by their fruit, of where they live from. If you live from the spirit, all that comes out is spirit. Hence if you live from the flesh, you respond from the flesh. I hope you now understand why people in the early church were called Christians, Christ-like ones. These people were living in the spirit and people knew it calling them Christians.
Galatians 5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law. 24 And those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. 25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.
Philippians 4:6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; 7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. 8 Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things.
Matthew 12:33 “Either make the tree good and its fruit good, or else make the tree bad and its fruit bad; for a tree is known by its fruit. 34 Brood of vipers! How can you, being evil, speak good things? For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. 35 A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good things, and an evil man out of the evil treasure brings forth evil things. 36 But I say to you that for every idle word men may speak, they will give account of it in the day of judgment. 37 For by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned.”
Now you may ask yourself, how do I get there? Jesus showed us the way. We must first repent from sins that have been committed and turn our back on sin. Never looking back at it. Then we must be born again. Everyone has sinned and fallen short of the glory of God as we were all born into Adam. We must now be born again into Jesus. Then we invite Holy Spirit into our hearts. Remember, the devil doesn’t want any of this to happen so he will come immediately to try to steal what you are after. After inviting Holy Spirit into our hearts, Jesus circumcises us in the heart. This is done in the spirit. From that place is where we live. Never seeing ourselves as sinners ever again. If you call yourself a sinner saved by grace, you won’t be able to live from the spirit. This is not to condemn you, but you are what you confess. Confessing you are still a sinner is confessing you are not saved.
Acts 2:38 Then Peter said to them, “Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. 39 For the promise is to you and to your children, and to all who are afar off, as many as the Lord our God will call.”
Romans 2:28 For he is not a Jew who is one outwardly, nor is circumcision that which is outward in the flesh; 29 but he is a Jew who is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the Spirit, not in the letter; whose praise is not from men but from God.
Romans 8:6 For the mind set on the flesh is death, but the mind set on the Spirit is life and peace, 7 because the mind set on the flesh is hostile toward God; for it does not subject itself to the law of God, for it is not even able to do so, 8 and those who are in the flesh cannot please God. 9 However, you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. But if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Him.
There is one particular verse I want to look at that sums up this life in Christ. I have read this verse hundreds of times, but today He opens this verse even more. Know that this isn’t just for me, so I need to share. It’s Matthew 6:33. Jesus still preaching the sermon on the mount says, “But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.” Astonishingly, where do you think the Kingdom of God is? Jesus said, “Don’t look here, don’t look there, for the Kingdom is in you.” He also said, “It’s the Father’s good pleasure to give you the Kingdom.” The kingdom of God is in the spirit. From there, we live from Jesus’ righteousness, not ours. This is why we are to deny ourselves. Picking up our cross is picking up what Jesus left you, His righteousness, and following His example. Paul understood this. He wrote, “Christ in you, the hope of glory.” It’s not your glory, but Jesus’. Jesus prayed that we may have His glory so that everywhere we go we glorify His Name. I have been living this life and it is the best life to live. Be blessed, my friends.
Galatians 2:20 I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.
Romans 14:17 for the kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.
John 17:20 “I do not pray for these alone, but also for those who will believe in Me through their word; 21 that they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me. 22 And the glory which You gave Me I have given them, that they may be one just as We are one: 23 I in them, and You in Me; that they may be made perfect in one, and that the world may know that You have sent Me, and have loved them as You have loved Me.
