When this subject was mentioned to me, I asked myself, which government is Paul talking about? Romans 13:1 Let every soul be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and the authorities that exist are appointed by God. 2 Therefore whoever resists the authority resists the ordinance of God, and those who resist will bring judgment on themselves. 3 For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to evil. Do you want to be unafraid of the authority? Do what is good, and you will have praise from the same. 4 For he is God’s minister to you for good. But if you do evil, be afraid; for he does not bear the sword in vain; for he is God’s minister, an avenger to execute wrath on him who practices evil. 5 Therefore you must be subject, not only because of wrath but also for conscience’ sake. 6 For because of this you also pay taxes, for they are God’s ministers attending continually to this very thing. 7 Render therefore to all their due: taxes to whom taxes are due, customs to whom customs, fear to whom fear, honor to whom honor. There are many issues in these verses as we are subject to one government. This government is of the Kingdom.
In the scriptures, Jesus is a great example of Him being subject to the government. Jesus struggle was always of the religious people. Paul had the same struggle. Jesus was subject to His Father as we are to be. He said John 5:19 Then Jesus answered and said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of Himself, but what He sees the Father do; for whatever He does, the Son also does in like manner.
The issue with church government today is money. Most have tax exemptions so they can give the people who give to the church a tax deductible receipt. This very act makes them subject to the government of this world. Have you noticed that the governments are changing laws which are contrary to what My Father has said which some churches are now following this? The devil knows that if he controls the money, he controls the people and the church. How many give and expect nothing in return? I know there are some who’s heart are for God but it boils down to the motivation of your heart. Luke 6:32 “But if you love those who love you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners love those who love them. 33 And if you do good to those who do good to you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners do the same. 34 And if you lend to those from whom you hope to receive back, what credit is that to you? For even sinners lend to sinners to receive as much back. 35 But love your enemies, do good, and lend, hoping for nothing in return; and your reward will be great, and you will be sons of the Most High. For He is kind to the unthankful and evil. 36 Therefore be merciful, just as your Father also is merciful.
On a personal note on this issue, I can only be subject to the laws of this world until it runs contrary to what My Father has said. This includes of what the church teaches. One of the Biggest things that I have learned is that satan used the Word of God against Jesus. Satan used the religious people to kill Jesus. I haven’t been to church in a couple of years as He is the One who wants to teach me. I have learned so much. Some contrary to what the church teaches but this will all come out in time. I am not hear for people to follow me or build a ministry for people to give me money. Notice that I don’t have any links for that. This is done on purpose as He wants people to learn with no conditions. People tend to learn better this way. Be Blessed friends.
