Man’s Fear
Let’s first look at man’s fear. Man’s greatest fear is that he will going to the pits of hell rather than to heaven where God is. Man has been looking for love in all the wrong places. Many want to only gratify the flesh rather than please God. When the trial’s come against you determines what’s inside and what you are really made of.
Another one of man’s fear is other men. People are so afraid of what other will say about them or what other men will do to them. Their emotions will shipwreck them into such chaos.
satan’s Fear
Many don’t even consider of how fearful satan really is? A man who was filled with a legion of demons ( a legion is 6,826) was afraid of Jesus. Mark 5:7 And he cried out with a loud voice and said, “What have I to do with You, Jesus, Son of the Most High God? I implore You by God that You do not torment me.” 8 For He said to him, “Come out of the man, unclean spirit!” 9 Then He asked him, “What is your name?” And he answered, saying, “My name is Legion; for we are many.”
satan’s greatest fear is that you become one with Jesus in the spirit. Is it possible to become one with Jesus here in the spirit? YES!!!! If you examine your life you will see that everything that has come against you is to stop you and Jesus becoming one. I will go as far to say that some congregations will try to stop you from being one with Jesus calling you, “a sinner.” Phillip walked with Jesus for almost three years and still couldn’t get this that Jesus and Father were one. John 14:7 “If you had known Me, you would have known My Father also; and from now on you know Him and have seen Him.” 8 Philip said to Him, “Lord, show us the Father, and it is sufficient for us.” 9 Jesus said to him, “Have I been with you so long, and yet you have not known Me, Philip? He who has seen Me has seen the Father; so how can you say, ‘Show us the Father’? 10 Do you not believe that I am in the Father, and the Father in Me? The words that I speak to you I do not speak on My own authority; but the Father who dwells in Me does the works. 11 Believe Me that I am in the Father and the Father in Me, or else believe Me for the sake of the works themselves.”
When I mentioned YES to you being one in the spirit with Jesus, He actually prayed that you would become one with Him in the spirit. John 17:20 “I do not pray for these alone, but also for those who will believe in Me through their word; 21 that they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me. 22 And the glory which You gave Me I have given them, that they may be one just as We are one: 23 I in them, and You in Me; that they may be made perfect in one, and that the world may know that You have sent Me, and have loved them as You have loved Me.
Paul understood this. 1 Corinthians 6:17 But he who is joined to the Lord is one spirit with Him. satan could not stop Jesus and he couldn’t stop Paul. When you are one with Christ, all of heaven and hell knows. Acts 19:15 And the evil spirit answered and said, “Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are you?”
satan knows that if he can get you to sin, you would be separated from God as he is. He did this with Adam and Eve and he will do this with you. One option that you have that satan doesn’t have is repentance. Once you have repented by being born again into jesus and are filled with the spirit, you actually get to go and exercise Jesus’ authority here on earth. You may ask what is the authority that Jesus gave us. Jesus gave us authority to forgive sins. Matthew 9:4 And Jesus, perceiving their thoughts, said, “Why are you thinking evil in your hearts? 5 For which is easier, to say, ‘Your sins are forgiven,’ or to say, ‘Get up and walk’? 6 But so that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins”—then He *said to the paralyzed man, “Get up, pick up your stretcher and go home.” 7 And he got up and went home. 8 But when the crowds saw this, they were awestruck, and they glorified God, who had given such authority to men.
satan is the god of this world and he is very fearful that you know who the real true God is. John 20:26 And after eight days His disciples were again inside, and Thomas with them. Jesus came, the doors being shut, and stood in the midst, and said, “Peace to you!” 27 Then He said to Thomas, “Reach your finger here, and look at My hands; and reach your hand here, and put it into My side. Do not be unbelieving, but believing.” 28 And Thomas answered and said to Him, “My Lord and my God!” 29 Jesus said to him, “Thomas, because you have seen Me, you have believed. Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.”
