Don’t let the title of the blog fool you. Many think that love is the way into God, but love is the commandment of the followers of Jesus. “Now the purpose of the commandment is love from a pure heart, from a good conscience, and from sincere faith.” Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” The way is peace, peace through Jesus. “And the way of peace they have not known.” You have to have peace with God before you can love Him. How do you love Him when you are angry at Him? How do you love Him when you don’t believe in Him? The way is peace. Jesus came to make peace between man and God. “For it pleased the Father that in Him all the fullness should dwell, and by Him to reconcile all things to Himself, by Him, whether things on earth or things in heaven, HAVING MADE PEACE THROUGH THE BLOOD OF HIS CROSS. And you, who once were alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now He has reconciled in the body of His flesh through death, to present you holy, and blameless, and above reproach in His sight––if indeed you continue in the faith, grounded and steadfast, and are not moved away from the hope of the gospel which you heard, which was preached to every creature under heaven, of which I, Paul, became a minister.”
John the Baptist came preparing the way of peace through baptism. “The voice of one crying in the wilderness: ‘Prepare the way of the LORD; Make His paths straight.’” Jesus described the way of peace this way. “Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.” The purpose of the cross was to make peace between man and God. “For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. For there is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus.” “Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.” Now Jesus is our peace. “But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ. FOR HE HIMSELF IS OUR PEACE, who has made both one, and has broken down the middle wall of separation, having abolished in His flesh the enmity, that is, the law of commandments contained in ordinances, SO AS TO CREATE IN HIMSELF ONE NEW MAN FROM THE TWO, THUS MAKING PEACE, and THAT HE MIGHT RECONCILE THEM BOTH TO GOD IN ONE BODY THROUGH THE CROSS, THERBY PUTTING TO DEATH THE ENMITY. ANE HE CAME AND PREACHED PEACE TO YOU WHO WERE AFAR OFF AND TO THOSE WHO WERE NEAR. FOR THROUGH HIM WE BOTH HAVE ACCESS BY ONE SPIRIT TO THE FATHER.” Be joined with Jesus in peace so you can access the Father. “But he who is joined to the Lord is one spirit with Him.”
I pray that your eyes of understanding be enlightened by this revelation. Be blessed, my friends.
