This concept of living from the Kingdom of God is possible right now if you choose to do so. This isn’t about a point of time in which you go to Heaven when you leave this earth but it is a point in time that you choose to live from the Kingdom of God. You may ask yourself, “Is this possible?” Remember, all things are possible with God.
Our Lord Jesus, when He told us to pray, He said “Your kingdom come. Your will be done On earth as it is in heaven.” This is an astonishing statement. God’s will be done, that is done in Heaven is to be done here on earth. Ok? If I begin to look, where can I find the Kingdom of God? Jesus said. Matthew 6:33 But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. Now the Pharisees (religious people) at that time were looking for the Kingdom as people do today. Luke 17:20 Now when He was asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come, He answered them and said, “The kingdom of God does not come with observation; 21 nor will they say, ‘See here!’ or ‘See there!’ For indeed, the kingdom of God is within you.” What else is within you?
If you have the Kingdom of God within you, and God is Spirit, then the Spirit of God dwells in you right? Romans 8:9 But you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. Now if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he is not His. 10 And if Christ is in you, the body is dead because of sin, but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. 11 But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you. Ok, so those who live from the Spirit are living from the Kingdom. Romans 8:14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God. I got it now. Those who live in the Spirit (live in the Kingdom) are led by the Spirit of God, not led by their flesh even though they are still in the flesh. This is why Paul told the church in Ephesus to be renewed in the Spirit of their mind so you live from the Spirit. I get it.
What saddens me is the fact that there are churches who still believe that because we are in the flesh, we are fleshly beings. My question is, how do you worship God? John 4:24 God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth. Jesus also did say, John 6:63 It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life. I wonder who would want you to live in the flesh and not the Spirit (The Kingdom of God) as the Spirit gives life.
