Many don’t realize that Jesus’s authority is His Righteousness. He got baptized to fulfill all righteousness. “Then Jesus came from Galilee to John at the Jordan to be baptized by him. And John tried to prevent Him, saying, “I need to be baptized by You, and are You coming to me?” But Jesus answered and said to him, “Permit it to be so now, for thus it is fitting for us to fulfill all righteousness.” Then he allowed Him.” My question is if Jesus got baptized to fulfill all righteousness, why does the church push to say a prayer, rather than baptism? Throughout the book of Acts, people were being baptized because Jesus commissioned them to like He did with us. “And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.”
Many seem to forget that we are seeking the Kingdom of God and His Righteousness. Are you after righteousness? “But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.” His righteousness is a gift that we are to pick up and put on. “For if by the one man’s offense death reigned through the one, much more those who receive abundance of grace and of THE GIFT OF RIGHTEOUSNESS will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ.” The Kingdom is ruled by righteousness. “Your throne, O God, is forever and ever; A scepter of righteousness is the scepter of Your kingdom. YOU LOVE RIGHTEOUSNESS and hate wickedness; Therefore God, Your God, has anointed You With the oil of gladness more than Your companions.” The Kingdom is on the shoulders of Jesus. “For unto us a Child is born, Unto us, a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Of the increase of His government and peace There will be no end, Upon the throne of David and over His kingdom, To order it and establish it with judgment and justice From that time forward, even forever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.” Jesus is not only the King of Peace now, He is also the King of righteousness. “This hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast, and which enters the Presence behind the veil, where the forerunner has entered for us, EVEN JESUS, HAVING BECOME HIGH PRIEST FOREVER ACCORDING TO THE ORDER OF MELCHIZEDEK. For this Melchizedek, king of Salem, priest of the Most High God, who met Abraham returning from the slaughter of the kings and blessed him, to whom also Abraham gave a tenth part of all, first being translated “KING OF RIGHTEOUSNESS,” and then also king of Salem, meaning “KING OF PEACE,” without father, without mother, without genealogy, having neither beginning of days nor end of life, but made like the Son of God, remains a priest continually.” For us to walk in this authority we must become the righteousness of God in Christ. “For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.” “Who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness––by whose stripes you were healed.” We not only put on the armor of God but it’s also called the armor of Light and put on Jesus. “The night is far spent, the day is at hand. Therefore let us cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on THE ARMOR OF LIGHT. Let us walk properly, as in the day, not in revelry and drunkenness, not in lewdness and lust, not in strife and envy. But PUT ON THE LORD JESUS CHRIST, and make no provision for the flesh, to fulfill its lusts.”
I pray that your eyes of understanding be enlightened to right and that you live by Jesus’s Righteousness. This is where life begins for the children of God. Be blessed, my friends.
