How is your connection with God? Do you try to plug in once a week, or twice a week? How about one a day? Do you go into your secret place once a day to stay connected to God? Or are you one who stays in connection with God all the time, and the connection is never broken? “He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.” He who dwells with God will always have Him. Your connection with God has to be constant and strong. “Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.” “Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.”
One thing Jesus taught was you will know a tree by its fruit. “Even so, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. Therefore by their fruits, you will know them.” “Either make the tree good and its fruit good, or else make the tree bad and its fruit bad; for a tree is known by its fruit. Brood of vipers! How can you, being evil, speak good things? For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good things, and an evil man out of the evil treasure brings forth evil things.” God is the only One who is good. “Now behold, one came and said to Him, “Good Teacher, what good thing shall I do that I may have eternal life?” So He said to him, “Why do you call Me good? No one is good but One, that is, God. But if you want to enter into life, keep the commandments.” Your connection with God will bring forth good fruit. Let’s look at some people’s connections. Jesus healed everyone that came to Him. The apostle couldn’t heal the epileptic boy in Matthew 17. Why wasn’t the boy healed? Because of their doubt and unbelief. “Then the disciples came to Jesus privately and said, “Why could we not cast it out?” So Jesus said to them, “BECAUSE OF YOUR UNBELIEF; for assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you.” Once they were empowered with the Holy Spirit, they healed them all as Jesus did. “Also a multitude gathered from the surrounding cities to Jerusalem, bringing sick people and those who were tormented by unclean spirits, and they were all healed.” The Apostle’s connection to God was strong through Jesus Christ. “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing. If anyone does not abide in Me, he is cast out as a branch and is withered; and they gather them and throw them into the fire, and they are burned. If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you.” Now, do you see your connection and the place in which you are to dwell? You are to dwell with Jesus as those who are one with Christ are one with Him in the spirit. “But he who is joined to the Lord is one spirit with Him.”
I pray that your eyes are enlightened about your connection with Jesus. This is what we are to be after and seeking. “But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.” “So I say to you, ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened. If a son asks for bread from any father among you, will he give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will he give him a serpent instead of a fish? Or if he asks for an egg, will he offer him a scorpion? If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, HOW MUCH MORE WILL YOUR HEAVENLY FATHER GIVE THE HOLY SPIRIT TO THOSE WHO ASK HIM!” Be blessed, my friends.
