When building a house, any construction worker knows, the most important part of the house is the foundation. You can build a beautiful mansion, but if its foundation isn’t strong, that house will not stand. This is no different to your life. If you built your life around your job, home, or family, and circumstances arise that come against all or some of these, will your life stand? Or will it break apart and shatter into pieces? Look at your life and reflect on its foundation. “Trust in the LORD with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths. Do not be wise in your own eyes; Fear the LORD and depart from evil. It will be health to your flesh, And strength to your bones.”
You will be tested in every aspect of your life when you follow Jesus. “These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.” All the trials and tribulations that come against you are to see if there are any leaks in your foundation. Is there something you will compromise with, the enemy can get a foothold in your life. Jesus knew about these footholds that the enemy will try to weaken your foundation. “I will no longer talk much with you, for the ruler of this world is coming, and he has nothing in Me.” If you read my blogs, you will know I hate the sinner saved by grace teaching. It weakens your foundation and allows the enemy to attack you because you have opened the door for sin to come in by confessing that you are still a sinner. You are created in Christ for good works, to follow Jesus’s example. “For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast. For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.” “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do he will do also; and greater works than these he will do, because I go to My Father.” Some Christian circles will try to convince you that this doesn’t happen anymore. If you believe that, you just allowed another leak in your foundation. “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.” Look in the scriptures and study them for yourself. Ask Holy Spirit to open the scriptures for you. He is a great teacher.”The Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him; but you know Him, for He dwells with you and will be in you.” “However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come.”
I pray that your eyes of understanding be enlightened to how you build your house and your life. “Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’ “Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock: and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock. But everyone who hears these sayings of Mine, and does not do them, will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand: and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it fell.
