This particular title for this blog i got from the verse Romans 6:11 Likewise you also, reckon(consider) yourselves to be dead indeed to sin, but alive to God in Christ Jesus our Lord. This is contrary to what most churches teach. But their is something that jumped out at me in this verse that i want to talk about.
It’s the end of the verse I want you to consider, “but alive to God in Christ Jesus our Lord.” So to be alive to God, you have to be dead to sin. I really don’t hear that in churches. Have you noticed that no where in the verse does it say that you are to be alive in sin? Sin is supposed to be dead! Jesus crucified sin in the flesh as sin is a curse. No where in the scriptures does it say that you are to alive to sin in Christ Jesus. If you are living in sin then you are dead to God. Romans 8:8 So then, those who are in the flesh cannot please God.
Now have you heard this message? 1 John 1:5 This is the message which we have heard from Him and declare to you, that God is light and in Him is no darkness at all. 6 If we say that we have fellowship with Him, and walk in darkness (walk in sin ), we lie and do not practice the truth. 7 But if we walk in the light (alive to God in Christ Jesus our Lord) as He is in the light (let your light shine before men), we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin. So those who are born again and confessing that they are still sinners is confessing that sin is lord. Also confessing that the blood wasn’t strong enough to cleanse them of sin. Especially those who confess that they are sinners saved by Grace. They are sinners saved from sin? How does that work? They really don’t understand the new covenant especially the last verse where My Father say “I will remember their sins no more.”
It blows My mind that God says I remember your sins no more but the churches teach the opposite that we are sinners. We are to Isaiah 54:17 And every tongue which rises against you in judgment You shall condemn. Jesus judged sin at the cross. He wants you to consider yourself dead to it. Jesus is your helper through this walk with Him. 1 John 2:1 My little children, these things I write to you, so that you may not sin. And if anyone sins, we have an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous. 2 And He Himself is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the whole world.
Proverbs 25:2 It is the glory of God to conceal a matter,
But the glory of kings is to search out a matter.
