This is a issue with many who don’t understand the war that we are in. This war is not a fleshly war. It’s not like of any you have seen before. Jesus showed us how to war by using love. Do you now understand why it is written; 1 Corinthians 13:4 Love is patient, love is kind, it is not jealous; love does not brag, it is not arrogant. 5 It does not act disgracefully, it does not seek its own benefit; it is not provoked, does not keep an account of a wrong suffered, 6 it does not rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth; 7 it keeps every confidence, it believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. 8 Love never fails. The issue is that people are still alive to themselves, their wants and needs, not wanting to do God’s wants and His needs which is His will.
Many don’t understand the putting off and putting on. If you haven’t put off your old man then you are not ready for war. Have you noticed that when you consider yourself a fleshly being, you don’t have victory in situations. This is because you don’t know how to war. Let’s look at what Paul said to the church in Colosse regarding putting on and off. Colossians 3:1 If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God. 2 Set your mind on things above, not on things on the earth. 3 FOR YOU DIED, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. 4 When Christ who is our life appears, then you also will appear with Him in glory. 5 Therefore PUT TO DEATH your members which are on the earth: fornication, uncleanness, passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry. 6 Because of these things the wrath of God is coming upon the sons of disobedience, 7 in which you yourselves once walked when you lived in them. 8 But now you yourselves are to PUT OFF all these: anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy language out of your mouth. 9 Do not lie to one another, since you have PUT OFF the old man with his deeds, 10 and have PUT ON the new man who is renewed in knowledge according to the image of Him who created him, 11 where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcised nor uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave nor free, but Christ is all and in all. 12 Therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, PUT ON tender mercies, kindness, humility, meekness, longsuffering; 13 bearing with one another, and forgiving one another, if anyone has a complaint against another; even as Christ forgave you, so you also must do. 14 But above all these things PUT ON love, which is the bond of perfection.
People don’t know how to put on love. You put on love by putting on Christ. Romans 13:11 And do this, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep; for now our salvation is nearer than when we first believed. 12 The night is far spent, the day is at hand. Therefore let us cast off the works of darkness, and let us PUT ON the armor of light. 13 Let us walk properly, as in the day, not in revelry and drunkenness, not in lewdness and lust, not in strife and envy. 14 But PUT ON the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to fulfill its lusts.
Those who are still calling themselves sinners are still alive to sin and walking in darkness. By doing so they are dead to God. You can’t be alive to sin and alive to God. 2 Corinthians 6:14 Do not be unequally yoked together with unbelievers. For what fellowship has righteousness with lawlessness? And what communion has light with darkness?
The Holy Spirit has been teaching me all these things. Ever since I have pulled away from the church of today, I have grown in the spirit. The church today isn’t the real church as you would see Father backing His Word with signs and wonders. As many don’t believe that, are they really believers? Matthew 17:19 Then the disciples came to Jesus privately and said, “Why could we not cast it out?” 20 So Jesus said to them, “Because of your unbelief; for assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you.”
