There is one thing that many Christians don’t know. Jesus called us to be fishers of men. Do you know the bait which we use to catch men? This probably hasn’t crossed many people’s minds. Fishermen know, if you want to catch a lot of fish, you need the right bait. The bait that we use to catch men is love. There is no law against love when it’s from the spirit.
Mark 12:29 Jesus answered him, “The first of all the commandments is: ‘Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one. 30 And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength.’ This is the first commandment. 31 And the second, like it, is this: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no other commandment greater than these.”
When we walk in love in the spirit, we are walking in God’s image. Jesus is our great example of how we walk in God’s image. You can’t say that you are in God’s image without evidence of it. Adam was NOT created in God’s image, he was created in God’s likeness. God’s image is a life-giving spirit. He gave life to Adam and every living creature. If you walk in God’s image, raising the dead is easy. Every sickness is healed in God’s image. Jesus proved that. We have to test ourselves we if are walking in this faith. You don’t want to be deceived when you sit on the judgment seat of Christ, thinking that you are in God’s image and faith, when your life lived, proves if you are.
Galatians 5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law. 24 And those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. 25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit.
1 Corinthians 15:45 And so it is written, “The first man Adam became a living being.” The last Adam became a life-giving spirit.
2 Corinthians 13:5 Examine yourselves as to whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves. Do you not know yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you?—unless indeed you are disqualified.
Looking at the attributes of how the apostles describe God, all point to His image being spirit. Everything from the Kingdom flows from the spirit. We are one with Jesus in the spirit. Are you getting the picture, love is of the spirit. Without living in the spirit, how do you ever please God as you do this by faith? The commandment for us is love. If you don’t live in the spirit, you don’t have love. Be blessed, my friends
John 4:24 God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.
1 Corinthians 6:17 But he who is joined to the Lord is one spirit with Him.
1 Timothy 1:5 Now the purpose of the commandment is love from a pure heart, from a good conscience, and from sincere faith,
