When you begin to examine the life of Jesus, everything He did was to glorify Father. His words and actions where a reflection of God’s glory. “Father, glorify Your name.” Then a voice came from heaven, saying, “I have both glorified it and will glorify it again.” We are to light our light shine to glorify Father. “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.” “Therefore, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.”
When the devil came to tempt Jesus, He responded by glorifying Father. Pay attention to this concept in Jesus’s response. “But He answered and said, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.’” “Jesus said to him, “It is written again, ‘You shall not tempt the LORD your God.’” “Then Jesus said to him, “Away with you, Satan! For it is written, ‘You shall worship the LORD your God, and Him only you shall serve.’” Jesus didn’t only use what God has said against the devil, He glorified Father in the process. We have been saved to glorify Father through the works which He has prepared beforehand for us to walk in. “For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast. For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.” Jesus walked in good works leaving us an example that we would walk in them. “How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him.” “For to this you were called, because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that you should follow His steps: Who committed no sin, Nor was deceit found in His mouth; who, when He was reviled, did not revile in return; when He suffered, He did not threaten, but committed Himself to Him who judges righteously; who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness––by whose stripes you were healed. For you were like sheep going astray, but have now returned to the Shepherd and Overseer of your souls.” The early church preached Jesus. There was no Bible. They only had the Torah. Preaching Jesus gets results. Preaching Jesus glorifies Him, and in turn, glorifies Father. When Peter was preaching Jesus to Cornelius and his family, the Holy Spirit fell on all there. This is why you are here, to glorify Father and Jesus. “I do not pray for these alone, but also for those who will believe in Me through their word; that they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me. And the glory which You gave Me I have given them, that they may be one just as We are one: I in them, and You in Me; that they may be made perfect in one, and that the world may know that You have sent Me, and have loved them as You have loved Me. Father, I desire that they also whom You gave Me may be with Me where I am, that they may behold My glory which You have given Me; for You loved Me before the foundation of the world. O righteous Father! The world has not known You, but I have known You; and these have known that You sent Me. And I have declared to them Your name, and will declare it, that the love with which You loved Me may be in them, and I in them.”
I pray that your eyes of understanding be enlightened to glorify Father and Jesus in your life. Be blessed, my friends
