We can actually grow in favor with God and men as Jesus did. Luke 2:52 And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and men. The more we walk with Jesus and people begin to see the evidence of Him in your life, all of heaven and earth will be attracted to you.
Here’s a question for you. Are you after material blessings or spiritual blessings? I don’t ask this question to condemn you, but I do ask this so you can understand where your heart is. God will bless you with material things, but that’s for your edification. Spiritual blessings are for the benefit of all. My Father loves to bless His people, and what father would’t. Luke 11:9 “So I say to you, ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. 10 For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened. 11 If a son asks for bread from any father among you, will he give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will he give him a serpent instead of a fish? 12 Or if he asks for an egg, will he offer him a scorpion? 13 If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him!”
I looked up the word favor to what it means in the scriptures. In Luke 2:52 that was mentioned in the first paragraph, the same Greek word that is used in John 1:17, but the translator used the word grace. John 1:17 For the law was given through Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ. The Greek word “charis” meaning, (a) grace, as a gift or blessing brought to man by Jesus Christ, (b) favor, (c) gratitude, thanks, (d) a favor, kindness. This really is important. We really have to see ourselves as one with Christ as we grow in favor. 1 Corinthians 6:17 But he who is joined to the Lord is one spirit with Him.
When you are born again of water and spirit, all of heaven is attracted to you. The Kingdom of heaven is within you. Luke 17:20 Now when He was asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come, He answered them and said, “The kingdom of God does not come with observation; 21 nor will they say, ‘See here!’ or ‘See there!’ For indeed, the kingdom of God is within you. “Within you” also means in your mist, but Paul wrote that Jesus is in you! 2 Corinthians 13:5 Examine yourselves as to whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves. Do you not know yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you?—unless indeed you are disqualified. 6 But I trust that you will know that we are not disqualified. All of heaven is attracted to Jesus in you. Do you believe that? If you walk in this world living from the spirit and not your flesh, you are a son of God. Romans 8:14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God. You are one with Jesus in the spirit! 1 Corinthians 6:17 But he who is joined to the Lord is one spirit with Him. Once you realize that you are a new creation, and having your mind renewed in the spirit (way of thinking), nothing will be impossible for you. Now watch the favor of God increase in you life. Ephesians 4:20 But you have not so learned Christ, 21 if indeed you have heard Him and have been taught by Him, as the truth is in Jesus: 22 that you put off, concerning your former conduct, the old man which grows corrupt according to the deceitful lusts, 23 and be renewed in the spirit of your mind, 24 and that you put on the new man which was created according to God, in true righteousness and holiness.
