This was my second life verse the Lord has given me. These verses He gives you are the anchor for your life. The first life verse He gave me was; Nehemiah 8:10 Then he said to them, “Go your way, eat the fat, drink the sweet, and send portions to those for whom nothing is prepared; for this day is holy to our Lord. Do not sorrow, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.” I have learned that my strength comes from Him. From the flesh i am weak, but I don’t live in the flesh, I live in the Spirit. By doing so I am strong in the Lord and the power of HIS might.
1 Peter 3:9 that I received was in the NIV Bible. I personally prefer the NKJV Bible, but when it comes from the Lord, I take what is given to me. This is how it reads; 1 Peter 3:9 Do not repay evil with evil or insult with insult. On the contrary, repay evil with blessing, because to this you were called so that you may inherit a blessing. He spoke to me about this verse in the last couple of days. He told me that you are to depart from evil and do good. So when anyone does evil against you, do not repay them with evil, but just love on them as i would love on you. If you sin, you are sinning against the Lord. You are paying God with evil, but He wants to repay you with good. This is how you represent the Kingdom of God here on earth.
He has given me other life verses. I love this one as well. 1 Thessalonians 5:16 Rejoice always, 17 pray without ceasing, 18 in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. Do you notice that all of these have a common theme. They are all to teach in how to live from the Kingdom of God. If you can`t deny yourself of this world, how are you ever going to live from the Kingdom of God. You ARE NOT to live from the world to represent the Kingdom. You must first be part of the kingdom to represent the kingdom. 2 Corinthians 5: 17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new. 18 Now all things are of God, who has reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation, 19 that is, THAT GOD WAS IN CHRIST reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation. 20 Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us: we implore you on Christ’s behalf, be reconciled to God. 21 For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, THAT WE MIGHT BECOME the righteousness of God in Him.
May the Lord bless you, and keep you; The Lord cause His face to shine on you,
And be gracious to you; The Lord lift up His face to you,
And give you peace.
